Locations

The work explores architectural areas which often inspire awe and humility. Some evoking aerial views whilst others microscopic views. Hybrids between spaces, structures and characters which together form a sensation of mapping.

Projects have included a church, a school and airports: buildings specific to a function which dictate the way one behaves and can convey a feeling of displacement.

The paintings are webs of broken conversations, marks, fractions of drawings, all finely layered, attempting to capture both the atmosphere and drama contained within.


The material presence itself is sensitively explored, whether carving on plaster or painting on canvas.
